The state of the economy, a movement toward energy conservation and a renewed focus on healthy living are more and more recognized as homeowner concerns. Buyer demand increasingly calls for affordability, a streamlined building process and maximum value. In response to this shift in consumer attitude, Talking Rock is working with developers to create smaller, more energy-efficient homes that continue to offer the luxury of a custom design.
Western Legends – Mom’s Custom Homes and Everwood Design, Ltd. developed Western Legends, a collection of homes ranging from 2,500 to just under 3,000 square feet. The designs feature historic Arizona ranch home architecture with five floor plans named after Arizona Native American tribes –Awatobi, Havasupai, Papago, Cocopah and Yavapai. Homes range from $500,000 to $600,000 and are ready to build on the homesite of the buyer’s choice.

Lone Spur Collection – Designed by TRD&B Inc., the Lone Spur Collection blends smaller spaces with larger design concepts incorporating the creative use of fiber siding, cedar and culture stone applied with old-fashioned craftsmanship. Homes are built to incorporate the lot topography, views, trees and existing landscape, and feature low-maintenance exteriors. Floor plans start in the mid-$400,000s and run up to just under $500,000.
With these new custom home collections, Talking Rock is working to provide more livable excitement and comfort with lower bills for heating and cooling. The smaller, more energy-efficient homes will be delivered in less time and for less cost per square foot.
